Alison Zilstra, PhD, EIT (she/her)

Assistant Professor, Royal Military College of Canada

Dr. Zilstra is a triple alum of the University of Waterloo, receiving her Bachelor’s (2016), Master’s (2019) and Doctoral (2024) degrees in Mechanical Engineering. For the past decade, she has been researching the aerodynamics and aeroacoustics of wind turbines. As the Principal Investigator of the ZigZAAAG research group she supervises simulations and experiments which work towards the silent operation of numerous aerodynamic applications including wind turbines, aircraft and rotorcraft.
